Project 2: Self Expression through Architectural Space ’LIFE CAPSULE’

In this project we, a group of six, are meant to create a life capsule that suits the needs of the user. The user is a person who likes to sing but is too shy to face his audience. Therefore our design tries to resolve the user's shortcoming and gives him a space where he can sing without being judged by others.

The pyramidal forms are used as sound absorbers to decrease the amount of sound coming into the space where the user sings. The white screen acts as a barrier between the user and audience. The screen is translucent as to preserve anonymity.

We had to consider the user and audience dimensions while making this 1:1 model. The study of ergonomics and anthropometrics is important in this project to ensure a comfortable experience for the user and audience.
